Happy January, Parents and Caregivers! Hopefully your family has had a great first half of the school year, & your kids are enjoying the benefits of the Marvista PTSA: school supplies, art docents, field trip grants, teacher grants, & family activities, to name a few. In September, we had an incredible FUN RUN which raised over $40,000 for our school! This is A TON of money, but did you know that it only covers about half of the PTSA budget? Inflation, growing student and community needs, and our commitment to educators make it even more important to have big fundraising goals and dreams here at Marvista.
So, up next will be our SPRING AUCTION, where we invite you to get groovy for our community. This year’s auction will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Cove. It will be a night of fun, friends, and generosity. Your grooviest threads, disco moves, and good vibes are encouraged!
So, how can you help? Most importantly – mark your calendars now and JOIN US! Whether it will be your first Marvista PTSA auction or your fifth, you’re in for a great night. It’s casual fun with friends, neighbors, & community members. It’s delicious food and drinks. It’s a fun DJ to get you dancing. It’s a night you won’t want to miss! Every year it just gets better. Tickets will be available for sale on our website in February. Keep an eye out for an early bird registration announcement!
How else can you help?
ITEM PROCUREMENT: Do you have a vacation home? Tickets to local sporting events? Own a business, or know someone who does? Do you have a talent you could teach others? What would you like to buy at an auction? There are so many great ways to procure items! Our advice? Get creative and don’t be shy. People can’t say yes if you don’t ask!
