Marvista PTSA Treasurer Information

How to be reimbursed for PTSA expenditures:

Who does it go to?

Send reimbursement requests to Jensen Nelson, Treasurer.

What form do I use?

Reimbursement requests are to be submitted on the “PTSA Reimbursement” form.  This form can be obtained from the Treasurer’s box in the school staff room, or via the link below: see PTSA Forms.

Where do I put it?

The completed forms with attached receipts should be put in the treasurer’s box in the school staff room.

When is it due?

Reimbursement requests are due within 30 days of the purchase.

When will I be paid?

Checks are issued twice per month around the first and the third week of the month.  If you need a check on a specific date please contact Jensen, at 431-8140, in advance to make arrangements.

Why does it take so long?

Every PTSA check requires two PTSA officer signatures.  In addition to the time it takes to process the check requests, it takes time to track down the appropriate signatures.

How to make a deposit:

Who does it go to?

Deposits are made by Holly Wisen, Assistant Treasurer.

What form do I use?

Deposits are to be itemized on a “Marvista PTSA Money Receipt/Tally Sheet” form.  This form can be obtained from the Treasurer’s box in the school staff room, or on-line at www.marvistaptsa.org .

Where do I put it?

The completed deposit form with attached money and/or checks should be put in an envelope.  Please contact Holly, at hartwisen@comcast.net to arrange a drop off/pick up date, time and location.

When is it due?

Money and checks should be deposited promptly (i.e. as fast as you can)

Why, what’s the hurry?

Per PTSA rules we are not supposed to hold on to money/checks or store them at the school.  We are also having a problem with bounced checks.  If a check is not going to clear we want to know before goods have been delivered (cookie dough, sally foster, spirit wear, etc..)

General Information:

  • Please remember to check your mail in the school office often.  Misc. checks and invoices are often overlooked.
  • The PTSA is not tax exempt; however, we can qualify for a sales tax deferral by using a resale certificate for certain things such as meals at the auction and yearbooks.
